General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) brain tumor has left him fearful about reverting to dark tendencies. He’s terrified that he might hurt Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) or her boys if his personality changes.
There’s the potential for Franco to become someone with who gets a real thrill out of killing again.
Franco has even asked Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to kill him if there are signs of trouble, but we want to consider another possibility. What if Franco’s tumor indeed changes his personality, but he tries to kill someone who some might say deserves it?
Of course, we’re speaking strictly from a fictional perspective here. Sometimes baddies just need to die for there to be a satisfying outcome. Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) war with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is about to heat up, so this has to be building somewhere.
Since Cyrus might face a fatal outcome eventually, who might kill him? Could it be Franco? It’s interesting that GH writers established a connection between Franco and Cyrus right before Franco collapsed from his brain tumor.
Franco was welcoming to Cyrus at karaoke night, which genuinely seemed to please Cyrus. They almost seemed like friends in a weird sort of way.
Naturally, Franco probably just thought keeping Cyrus happy was a better tactic than the attitude Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) was offering. It was likely just a way to butter Cyrus up more than anything, but the point is a connection was indeed established.
What was the point of Franco acting all chummy with Franco and trying to include him? Could it set up Franco turning on Cyrus and harming him because of the tumor?
There’s no guarantee this tumor will affect Franco exactly like the last one did anyway. Liz even pointed that out.
It’s possible Franco will indeed develop a thirst for blood – but only when it comes to someone he’s truly enraged with. General Hospital spoilers say Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will get hurt during the week of November 16-20 – potentially due to The Floating Rib explosion that Cyrus may cause.
There’s also buzz about Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) dying in that explosion, which would certainly hurt the boys’ grandmother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), as well as Franco’s friend and confidant, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). It’s easy to see how Franco’s vengeful rage toward Cyrus could grow.
It’d be a great twist if Franco’s tumor brought out the violent part of him, but only toward someone the new-and-improved Franco would have reasons to hate. Do you think Franco might be the one to kill Cyrus? It’s an interesting idea to ponder, so we’ll give you updates as other GH news comes in.
