The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will infuriate the Abbott clan when he challenges Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) final wishes. There’ll be plenty of debate about what Dina really would’ve wanted after Theo goes after the whole fortune.
Theo will sue the Abbotts for Dina’s entire estate and leave every last family member livid.
Of course, it seems like there are only two ways this can end. Option one is that Theo will win his lawsuit and find that Dina’s money isn’t the key to happiness – and neither is revenge on any of the Abbotts.
Theo might wind up rich in some ways but quite poor in others. He may ruin any chance of feeling like a true part of the family and taint Dina’s legacy in the process.
However, option two could bring even more misery. Theo may go after Dina’s fortune and end up with nothing to show for it. He may rile the Abbotts up and never win anything at all.
Will Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) really let Theo stay at Chancellor Communications when he’s causing so much trouble for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and the others?
Billy will at least have to consider the pain his half-siblings are facing. Theo could easily lose his job as a result of all this, so what happens if he finds himself unemployed and a lawsuit loser?
If Theo hits rock bottom, could Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) take pity on him? It’s true that Lola’s been hung up on Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but she had a genuine connection with Theo at one point. It was weird for Y&R to shut down Theo and Lola’s romance without ever giving them a real chance.
Could The Young and the Restless offer that chance after all? Will Lola take pity on Theo after his world blows up completely?
In the end, Lola might even feel guilty for her own role in sending Theo down this destructive path. Theo tried to change for the better after he met Lola and grew closer to her. Lola could eventually see that her rejection of Theo made his rejection issues with the Abbotts even worse.
Do you think Lola and Theo still have a shot? It’s possible if The Young and the Restless does a love triangle featuring Summer Newman (Hunter King), Kyle and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). That could give Theo and Lola the second chance they need!
