The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, February 4, tease that Elena Dawson (Bryton James) will push for the romantic getaway that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) suggested. Elena wasn’t ready when Nate first brought it up, but she’ll feel like she’s prepared to take this leap now.
Of course, Elena’s sudden desire to go away for a few days will catch Nate off guard. Part of Nate will love the idea, but another part of him will view it as a red flag. Nate can usually tell when something’s bothering Elena, so he’ll get the feeling that she isn’t giving him the whole story.
Although Nate will want the truth from Elena, she’ll choose to hold back. Y&R fans can expect Elena to keep her ice storm secret with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) under wraps – at least for now. Elena will want to protect Nate and Devon’s bond since they’re finally starting to get back on track.
Naturally, Elena will also want to protect her own budding relationship with Nate, so she’ll think she can put that steamy night with Devon in the rearview mirror. Unfortunately, this trip is only going to add to Elena’s guilt, so look for another change of heart in the week ahead. Elena won’t be able to live with her lies for long!
In the meantime, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will help Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) see the truth of the situation. Once Lily opens up about Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) co-parenting complications with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Amanda may think Victoria feels threatened as a mom.
Amanda might also argue that Victoria’s kids could get attached to Lily – only to have it not work out. Victoria will voice some similar concerns to Billy on Thursday, so this is all building to Lily and Billy making a firmer commitment to each other.
Billy and Lily will acknowledge that they’re in this for the long haul, so we’ll see how Victoria reacts.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will meet back up with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). They’ll reach an agreement in Thursday’s Y&R episode, so what will that agreement involve?
Things are a bit complicated since Abby can’t very well go through with having a baby while Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is MIA. February sweeps spoilers previously indicated that Abby and Chance would move forward with their surrogacy plans, but are they really going to do that now?
Those same February sweeps spoilers suggested Mariah would eventually battle doubts about the surrogacy due to her relationship with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
None of that info offered any inkling that Chance might have his own fertility issues or that he’d be written out, so those spoilers may not be an accurate assessment of what Y&R will actually show on screen.
Bottom line, Y&R had to shift gears due to cutting Donny Boaz, so the spoilers may change abruptly as well. It’s possible Mariah will reiterate that she’s not going anywhere and agree to table this discussion until Chance resurfaces. Mariah and Abby might make a deal to revisit the baby topic at a later date.
Poor Abby may feel like Chance just ran off due to being unable to give her a child. Abby surely can’t make any major decisions about a surrogacy without Chance by her side. On the other hand, it’s possible Mariah will agree to take the next preliminary baby steps anyway.
There are other Young and the Restless spoilers about Mariah beginning her new journey next week, so we’ll see if that info still lines up now that Chance has departed.
Whatever the case, look for Tricia Cast to pop up as Nina Webster in Thursday’s episode. Abby may call Nina as she searches for Chance and become more concerned if Nina hasn’t heard from him either.
