General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) could find out Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) bio daughter and hide the truth for revenge. Let’s consider this new storyline and all the drama it would bring to Port Charles.
GH fans know Carly figured out Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was Nina’s biological daughter through the necklace she dropped, which Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) discovered after Nelle’s deadly cliff fall.
Carly wound up hiding all that info with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), so that certainly played into Nina’s motives for keeping Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) survival a secret in Nixon Falls.
However, Carly could keep the vengeful cycle going strong if she somehow puts the pieces together and determines Nina is also the biological mother of Willow.
We know Carly wants her ruthless divorce attorney to go after Nina, so that could involve a major investigation to ensure they have all possible dirt.
There’s the potential for something to pop up that points to Willow’s true parentage.
Then again, maybe Carly could find another path to the truth if she overhears Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) make an admission and pairs it with some other clues.
As we saw with the whole necklace discovery, soapy secrets can come out in all sorts of surprising ways.
The point is this situation offers the prime opportunity for vengeance.
Carly wants payback since Nina kept quiet about Sonny being alive in Nixon Falls, so she could hide Nina’s very much alive daughter in Port Charles.
There have been some insider hints about Nelle and Willow being fraternal twins, so that seems to be the rewrite that GH is going with.
It would bring Nina great joy to know she still has a living child – and this would give Nina yet another grandmotherly connection to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) since Willow is raising Nelle’s son as her own.
Of course, Carly isn’t interested in bringing Nina any joy at all.
Furthermore, Carly doesn’t want to give Nina another reason to pursue time with Wiley.
Carly might also decide she doesn’t want to saddle Willow with the knowledge that Nina is her true mom.
Carly might tell herself she’s doing what’s best for Willow, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Wiley and even Harmony.
Carly could resolve to bury this Willow bio daughter shocker since it benefits the family and gives Nina a taste of her own medicine.
Naturally, the truth will come out one way or another.
When it does, Carly’s going to face major backlash for choosing to keep Willow and Nina’s biological bond under wraps – that is if Carly indeed chooses to keep the secret.
Considering how furious Carly is right now and how much she wants Nina to suffer, it seems like a safe bet she’ll resort to a cover-up.
