General Hospital Recap: Monday, November 6 – Charlotte Needs Surgery – Valentin Shuts Down Anna’s Explanation

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, November 6, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) admitted he didn’t have a clue how he got released. All Drew knew was that Judge Albert Kim (Kurt Yue) suddenly deemed his previous sentence too harsh and called for Drew’s release.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) confessed her plan with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), so Drew felt that Carly was his hero.

Although Carly was upset about Judge Kim giving Drew six months of probation, Drew just wanted to focus on his freedom.

Drew planned to see Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) first thing in the morning and take Carly out on a date tomorrow evening.

Until then, Drew suggested going back to Carly’s place and celebrating tonight, but he secretly clutched his side in pain as they left.

At home, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) was dressed as a football player when he returned from a candy run since he gave out too much to kids with good costumes.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was dressed as a referee and informed Chase that she had to give out granola bars in his absence.

Once the conversation shifted to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Brook Lynn’s guilt over what she did to the gang at Deception, Chase had a solution.

After Chase suggested Brook Lynn should let Tracy sign Deception over to her, he thought she could just give it back to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and the others.

Brook Lynn knew Tracy would be too smart to let that happen and felt it’d take more to outwit her.

At Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis), Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was sorry for not hearing Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) cry sooner, but Laura was fine with getting him since she was up working anyway.

Esme still felt like she was disrupting Laura’s schedule and didn’t want to overstay her welcome with Ace.

Laura assured Esme that they were all fine with this arrangement, but Esme felt the apartment was starting to get crowded.

Esme eventually admitted she’d developed feelings for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), so Laura thought that was understandable since he’d basically become Ace’s fill-in father.

However, Laura thought this might have something to do with Spencer’s relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

After Esme discussed how kind Trina and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) had been, she talked about perhaps latching onto Spencer since there was something familiar about him.

Laura finally agreed that Esme needed to forge her own path and got updates on her potentially taking one of the rooms above Kelly’s.

When Laura insisted on helping Esme with rent, Esme said Laura had already done enough and turned her down.

Laura kept pushing Esme to let her help, so Esme agreed to think about it. Once Laura was alone, she seemed concerned about how Spencer would react to Esme’s news about moving out.

At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place, Jake Webber (Hudson West) appeared in the doorway shouting about Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

Anna stooped down and pulled back the cloak of her victim’s costume, so she was horrified to see Charlotte was the one she shot.

Anna got Jake to take off the lab coat from his mad scientist costume to help control the bleeding.

Jake also called 911, helped prop Charlotte’s feet up, held her hand and spoke reassuringly to her.

At Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) penthouse, Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) filled them in on all the trick-or-treating drama.

Danny explained how Charlotte disappeared, so Jake took off after someone wearing The Hermit costume since that’s what Charlotte was originally going to wear.

Charlotte mentioned learning to read tarot cards at boarding school, so Danny told Dante and Sam about that, too.

Dante had recently been reinstated at work, so he had to take off after getting a call about a shooting at Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) old apartment.

Once Danny was alone with Sam, he worried Charlotte had been kidnapped. Danny felt like he should’ve done more to help earlier, so Sam said he reminded her of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) since Danny’s dad always wanted to fix everything.

At the hospital, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) commented on it being quiet considering it was Halloween night, but Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) pushed her not to jinx it!

Back at Anna’s place, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) arrived and panicked over the state Charlotte was in.

The paramedics came to take Charlotte to GH, so Valentin stayed by her side as they went.

Dante also showed up and wanted to ask Jake some questions before taking him home.

Jake wanted to be there for Charlotte at the hospital instead, so Dante asked Jake to wait while he questioned Anna.

As Anna recapped what happened, she sobbed over shooting a child and accepted Dante’s comforting embrace.

Anna continued to look tormented over the blood on the floor and surrendered her gun, which was placed in an evidence bag.

Charlotte’s backpack was taken as evidence as well before Dante headed off with Jake and left Anna in the hands of other officers.

Back at the hospital, the doctors got right to work on Charlotte while Liz worried about Jake. Fortunately, Dante brought Jake in and put her mind at ease.

Jake was concerned about whether Charlotte would be OK and suggested that Anna shooting her must’ve been an accident.

As Charlotte was taken to the OR for surgery, Valentin begged her doctors to save his daughter.

Anna arrived at the hospital and approached Valentin by the elevator, so he asked her why she did this and looked distraught.

A tearful Anna scrambled to explain how she thought Charlotte was an intruder, but Valentin insisted he couldn’t do this right now and shut down the conversation.

Dante got back in touch with Sam and let her know Charlotte had been shot, so she was stunned and confused.

Soon after, Dante led Anna off to the police station while Jake apologized to Valentin, but Valentin assured Jake that it wasn’t his fault.

General Hospital spoilers say Valentin and Anna’s relationship will take even more hits once the whole truth comes out, so stay tuned!
