The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 23, reveals that for the first time in a long time, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) felt like there was nothing to worry about – though she ultimately feared she might’ve jinxed it.
Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) hoped things would keep going well for Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) line and in her working relationship with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), but she seemed nervous as she flashed back to some troubling moments with her daughter.
In the CEO office on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Thomas held Hope’s hand and insisted she gave him back his whole life along with his happiness.
After Thomas praised Hope, he admitted she could sense that she saw him in a new way and thought it felt nice.
Thomas hoped they could look forward to a healthy future and not be chained by the mistakes of the past.
When Brooke returned, she witnessed Hope and Thomas laughing together about robots taking over.
Thomas left to get back to work, so that gave Brooke a chance to speak with Hope alone.
Although Hope insisted Thomas was hurt by the horrible things he overheard, Brooke didn’t think it looked that way when she came in.
Hope argued that was because she did damage control, but Brooke worried Thomas was being manipulative and using all this to get close to her.
After Brooke mentioned how Hope didn’t want to be like her mom, she was determined to get to the bottom of Hope’s strange behavior.
Brooke pointed out that Hope said she had feelings for Thomas and then denied them, so she kept pushing Hope for clarity on the situation.
Back in the design office, Taylor mentioned something about Brooke to Thomas, who said it wasn’t that big of a deal.
That left Taylor confused, so Thomas admitted he thought Brooke would’ve told her what just happened.
Taylor pushed Thomas for updates, so he explained how he overheard Brooke and Hope talking.
Thomas revealed that Hope said he was unstable, manipulative and that she wanted nothing to do with him.
However, Thomas quickly added that Hope realized he overheard, freaked out and apologized.
Taylor found out Hope took it all back, but she wondered why Hope said all that stuff in the first place.
Thomas guessed maybe it was because Hope was talking to her naysayer mom, so Taylor assumed Hope threw Thomas under the bus for Brooke’s sake.
That left Taylor annoyed and feeling betrayed since Brooke had every opportunity to tell her what went down, but she kept quiet about this news.
At Spencer Publications, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) praised Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) for the amazing deals he made while his dad was busy handling Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).
Bill thought it was too bad Liam couldn’t have cameras on Thomas like Sheila, so Liam admitted he wished he could chaperone every moment.
Nevertheless, Liam felt Hope would tell him if Thomas tried anything. Bill asked if Liam was sure about that and worried Hope might try to shield Liam from Thomas’ deceitful behavior – just to avoid upsetting him.
That idea left Liam concerned, but he admitted Hope had been good about carving out intimate time and reassuring him.
When talk turned to Katie Logan (Heather Tom), Bill assumed she was probably hanging out with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) right now.
Even so, Bill wasn’t giving up since Carter was the safe and sensible choice.
Deep down, Bill didn’t think Katie wanted sensible, so he implied that his ex-wife still wanted a bad boy like him.
After Bill called himself Katie’s person and the father of her child, he played up the importance of history and family. Carter couldn’t compete with that in Bill’s eyes.
Since Thomas also had history and a family with Hope, Bill warned Liam that he couldn’t let Thomas use that to get to her.
Once Liam promised to stay on guard, he praised Bill for being a great role model.
Bill insisted the admiration was mutual and planned to emulate Liam if he was lucky enough to become Katie’s husband again.
As their conversation wrapped up, Bill pushed Liam to stay vigilant about Thomas and any feelings that he might have for Hope.
