The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, July 14, reveals that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will annoy Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) when she insists on talking about his marriage. Diane will feel like Kyle still loves Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and will wonder if he’s really ready to throw away their life together.
Kyle will feel like Summer burned their relationship to the ground when she put herself first, but Diane will point out that she did that too and was forgiven.
It’ll frustrate Kyle when it seems like Diane is on Summer’s side, but she’ll insist she’s always on her son’s side instead.
Diane just won’t want to be the reason Kyle doesn’t have love in his life, so she’ll be willing to overlook Summer’s sins and support a reunion. Kyle will praise Diane for being a good mom, but he’ll want to deal with things his own way.
At Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) new place, her evening with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will be interrupted.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will show up with a bottle of wine and a warm welcome to his new neighbor, so Daniel will give him a chance to chat with Lily alone.
Although Lily will be willing to have a drink with Nate, she’ll point out that she can’t pretend his betrayal didn’t happen.
Nate will defend his relationship with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and act like Lily should be able to move beyond the past.
Once the tension escalates and it becomes apparent that they’re not going to find common ground, Nate will slam out of the penthouse and leave Lily rolling her eyes.
At the GCAC, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have her disguise on as she approaches a suite.
EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) will open the door and let Phyllis in, so she’ll be relieved to know he’s actually there and will assume this isn’t a trap.
Phyllis will marvel over Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) being a miracle worker, but Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will appear and insist that title belongs to him since his PI found Carson.
Once Phyllis grows suspicious of why Tucker’s involved, Y&R spoilers say she’ll wonder what’s really happening here.
Tucker will insist Carson is willing to back up Phyllis’ story about how vicious Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) was and claim he witnessed her take him down in self-defense.
In return, Carson’s mom will be taken care of financially. Plus, Carson will have a clear conscience and could perhaps get a lighter sentence for coming forward.
Tucker will point out that he can just as easily pay Carson to vanish, so he’ll leave the choice in Phyllis’ hands.
While Carson waits in another room, Tucker will explain his grand plan with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and how they need Phyllis’ help to push Diane over the edge.
Phyllis will worry since her feud with Diane got her into this mess, but Tucker will act like it’ll be different this time and will add that she can make amends with her kids.
After Tucker makes it clear that he holds the key to Phyllis’ freedom, he’ll warn that this conversation never happened as he exits.
On the way downstairs, Tucker will text Ashley with updates and suggest there’ll be some good news later.
While Phyllis is mulling over Tucker’s offer in a suite, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will show up and reveal that Daniel sent her. It turns out Michael will be on a plane to Singapore since Gloria Fisher-Bardwell (Judith Chapman) got herself in a serious legal entanglement.
Heather will insist she’s taking over Phyllis’ case, but Phyllis will panic over Michael bailing and will argue that can’t do this without him.
Nevertheless, Heather will point out that she’s there and she’s good, so she’ll ask what it’s going to be.
Phyllis won’t exactly have a lot of options and will acknowledge that Heather is a great attorney, so she’ll agree to let her take over representing her.
At Crimson Lights, Summer will talk to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) about Phyllis being ready to turn herself in.
After Summer supports the idea, she’ll be willing to face charges as well since taking responsibility for her mistakes is the first step toward moving forward.
When Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) finds Summer and Chance looking all serious, she’ll quiz them about what’s going on.
Chance will tell Christine about Phyllis potentially being prepared to turn herself in, but she’ll express doubt that it’ll actually happen.
Back with Phyllis, she’ll hint to Heather that she’s optimistic about Carson being found soon.
After Summer and Daniel arrive, Michael’s PI will call Heather with confirmation that Carson is willing to cooperate.
Heather will also get Chance on the phone and explain that she’s handling Phyllis’ case now.
Chance will learn that Heather’s client is ready to turn herself in, so he’ll head to the GCAC with Christine.
When Phyllis descends the staircase with Summer, Daniel and Heather, Christine will rip into her for causing so much chaos and then strutting down like a prom queen!
Heather will stop Phyllis from saying too much in response and will insist her client isn’t talking until they’re at the station.
Chance will place Phyllis under arrest while Tucker films the whole thing on his phone nearby.
Back at the Abbott house, Diane will get a message from Tucker and will marvel over the video of Phyllis getting arrested.
Kyle will watch the video as well and will grumble over Summer being right by Phyllis’ side.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis’ homecoming will bring more backlash, so stay tuned to the CBS soap.
