It’s the night of the Veto competition. Tomorrow’s Eviction was dependent on tonight’s competition. Rachel also decided to play this game very aggressively and she went big. The others have talked about going big in this game. It’s just that none of them ever did it. They made safe choices. Rachel knew she couldn’t afford to. She wasn’t messing around when she said she was here to make waves and so she put three people on the block that she knew were dangerous to her game. She put Mickey, Vinny, and Morgan on the block. They’ve all had issues with her. They also recently discussed getting her out first.
Not that everyone remembers those conversations.
Mickey was left in tears tonight. She called Rachel “nasty”. She said she was the same person that played years ago and she implied that Rachel was out to get her for no reason. Which was a lie. She was playing victim in front of people that knew her better. Ava, Will, and Ashley all know the truth. They knew that Mickey was targeting Rachel. They tried to advise her against it. She wouldn’t listen then and that’s why no one called her out for her hypocrisy tonight. Morgan was different because she at least told Rachel to her face that she would have put her on the block if she won HOH that week.
Morgan figured why lie? She was already on the block. She was competing against her two friends. She told Rachel no hard feelings and the truth is that Morgan can still survive this week. If she does, Rachel was going up on the block soon. If she doesn’t, Rachel still has to deal with Mickey. Mickey was the scarier one. Mickey was the one that believes she’s running this game and her going head to head with Rachel was bound to take out one queen. It all depended on the competition tonight. There were also a few awkward conversations prior to then.
Rylie has fallen very hard, very fast for Katherine. He was even willing to say the word “love”. Rylie was willing to be vulnerable with her. She just wasn’t ready to be that way with him. She doesn’t want her game to be dependent on him. She wasn’t ready to use the word “love”. She was prepared to say she cares about him. She does. Only she has eyes on the prize. She still wants to win “Big Brother”. Rylie seems to have forgotten about it as he falls for Katherine and it’s a good thing one of them was keeping their foot in reality.
Keanu and Rachel have also become sorta friends. Keanu wasn’t going to argue with her about her nominations. He didn’t convince her not to target Vinny and Keanu does want to continue to work with Vinny. He just let Rachel be. Rachel gets to talking. She starts giving him advice. He needed it because Keanu was not a great player. He was great at competitions. He was horrible at the social game. He lost Will after the first eviction by accusing him of things. He did the same with Rylie. He also told everyone what his game plan was when he said he’d pick them off one by one.
Rachel being his mentor will only come in handy. She was in power for now. She has a list of targets and he wasn’t one of them. Though Ashley might be after this week. Ashley works with both Rachel as well as Mickey. Ashley has been complaining about Mickey for a while. She often said that Mickey was heavy-handed. She just wasn’t ready to go against her because Mickey was great for her game. She wasn’t great for Rachel’s game and so Ashley going to Rachel to try and get her to make amends with Mickey only shows that Ashley was thinking of herself. And not considering Rachel.
The conversation between the two women ended on a high because of the toilet paper. Ashley had toilet paper stuck in her pants. She must not have checked properly after leaving the bathroom. It made both women laugh out loud. It eased the tension that Ashley didn’t realize was there. Still, Rachel wasn’t going to be so quick to trust Ashley anymore. It was one thing when Ashley tried to back away from the decision to save Jimmy. It was another when Ashley continues to betray Rachel openly. Rachel won’t forgive that.
It was once tensions eased that finally the players got to see the Veto competition. Otev was back! He was the Hogfather this time and the players had to climb/crawl through everything imaginable just to win. Will and Lauren were also playing. Will got knocked out early. It was a good thing too because he might have saved Mickey. Lauren was playing and no one knew why she was going so hard at the game. Well, she was doing it to protect herself. She heard a rumor that she might get put on the block if the nominees change.
Lauren wasn’t close to Rachel. She had no reason to doubt the rumor. She wanted the nominees to stay the same and at the same time she needed to protect Vinny. Vinny was Lauren’s final two. He wanted her to win Veto in order to use it on him. He tried to get her to commit to that, but she played dumb. Lauren wasn’t sure what she’d do. It didn’t matter that Vinny protected her in the past. It mattered if she needed to hold onto Veto. Rachel realized that as well. Rachel interrupted every conversation she could between Lauren and one of the nominees.
Rachel eventually ran out of excuses because she did it so much. She finally just talked to Lauren. She told Lauren to play Veto how she likes and not what anyone will like her to do. Lauren offered to tell her the decision before she made it. Lauren did try to stick with that. She talked with Rachel again later on. She told her she was considering using it on Vinny and that’s when Rachel did her best to talk her out of it. Vinny and Morgan both tried to talk her into it. Morgan even brought up Zach.
Morgan told Lauren the secret Zach shared with her. How he could have taken himself off the block. Lauren laughed about it in the confessionals because it was so clear that Morgan was trying to manipulate her. Rachel also tried to break up the conversation when she saw both Morgan and Vinny talking to Lauren together. She accused them of trying to push a girl into tears. They said she’s the one doing that – not them. The truth is they were all trying to get Lauren to work in favor of their own game.
Rachel soon told Lauren that she’d nominate Rylie if Vinny comes off the block. Rylie was Lauren’s friend and so Rachel was threatening her. It couldn’t be interpreted as anything other than a threat. Lauren still chose to save Vinny. She used her Veto to save him. And Rachel being Rachel then nominated Rylie to show this house that she doesn’t back down with her threats.
