General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, June 20, reveals that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) spoke with Ava Jerome (Maura West) about the custody outcome and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) heartbreaking hospitalization.
Nina worried the only way to break Willow free of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was to come clean about their past passionate encounters.
Ava advised against it since Willow might accuse Nina of lying and cling to Drew as the only person she had left.
At home on Friday’s GH episode, Drew returned from a run as Willow appeared in a daze.
Willow guessed she must’ve slept, but she was still so tired.
Talk turned to Drew’s marriage proposal, but Willow struggled to see how it would help if they tied the knot.
Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) eventually helped sell Willow on the idea that the judge would view this favorably, so she told Drew they should get married and sealed it with a kiss.
At the pool, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) watched Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) swim and hid his disdain when his son talked about learning a technique from Uncle Drew.
While Wiley was nearby with his swimming teacher, Michael talked to Kristina about tainted Drew and Willow memories.
Kristina mentioned Ava and stressed the importance of not letting anger consume you since you might do something you couldn’t take back.
Michael suspected Kristina was talking about something specific, but she didn’t spill anything about the car crash.
After Michael, Kristina and Wiley took off, they accidentally left Wiley’s T-shirt for Lila’s Kids behind on a chair.
Back with Willow, she summoned Nina to the pool and found Wiley’s forgotten T-shirt.
That led to Willow getting obsessed and frantic over taking it to the Quartermaine mansion.
Nina advised against that before Kristina came to collect the shirt. Kristina reassured Willow about the kids before taking off again.
Willow admitted she was hoping to run into Wiley today since he had a swimming lesson.
Nina warned against doing anything that’d make it look like she was violating the judge’s orders.
Willow acted like things wouldn’t be like this for much longer and shocked Nina with the news that she’d be married to Drew before the visitation hearing.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) sought Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) help giving Drew the setback he deserved.
Curtis said they needed Drew to recant his drugging accusations, so Tracy mentioned the press conference pitch that Martin had made – which she turned down.
After Curtis mentioned his plan to find Jacinda (Paige Herchell) and get her to say Drew bought the ketamine himself, Tracy realized that could lead to dropped charges.
When Michael came home and joined the ketamine conversation, he noted that the drug was a horse anesthetic.
Later, Martin showed up to discuss whether they had a deal, so Tracy made a big show about tearing up the press conference statement.
Curtis and Michael urged Tracy to accept the deal, but the three of them were clearly in on a plan.
In the end, Tracy told Martin that she’d perjure herself by making the statement Drew wanted.
In the park, a dog ran up and stole a baseball mitt while Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) was tossing a ball around with Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner).
Emma asked around and even took the pup to a shelter to see if it was microchipped, but she had no success in finding the owner.
Gio eventually held the dog so Emma could take a photo and put the word out.
However, if no one claimed the dog, Emma planned to keep it and name it Outback.
After Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) jokingly made threats about the softball league, they talked about Emma and Gio’s bond.
Acting DA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) wound up joining the PCPD’s team, so she spoke about networking during a conversation with Anna.
Sonny also talked to acting DA Turner privately at one point, which led to some jokes about her bad softball skills.
The conversation almost seemed flirty, but it may have just been another angle Turner was working!
Back with Gio, Sonny pushed him to join Corinthos Coffee’s softball team.
Gio was reluctant since they’d be facing opposing teams with players he didn’t want to be around after all the family drama.
However, Sonny felt all Gio could do s move forward, so Gio got on board with playing.
In bed together, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) told Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) about Drew canceling the documentary and apologizing.
After Kai brought up the paid internship opportunity, he liked the idea of having something new to concentrate on.
That said, Kai didn’t want to relocate to D.C. and leave Trina, so he insisted he would turn Drew down.
Later, Kai showed up at Drew’s house to let him know he was declining the position.
Drew found out relocating was the problem, so he assured Kai that he could be flexible on this.
Since Kai would only have to visit D.C. a few times a year, he decided to accept the internship after all.
As for Trina, she was busy giving Ava updates on everything at the gallery.
Trina assumed Kai wasn’t taking the position and seemed relieved.
General Hospital spoilers say Trina and Kai have more Drew issues ahead of them, so stick with the ABC soap.
