In tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, a demolition crew knocked down the wrong building on tonight’s all new episode. There was a couple in bed when it happened. They were rushed to the hospital and that’s when everyone learned that the guy was married. His wife showed up at the hospital.
She found out he was having an affair when he got pulled from the building. She begged the doctors to let him die. The doctors promised him they weren’t going to let that happen. Only he’ll wish he died when he sees in the media. The media was out in the front of the hospital trying to capture the victims when they ended up catching the confrontation.
The husband’s name is Dave. His wife is Heather. His affair partner is Casey. Casey took a turn for the worst. She needed them to drill into her skull. Amelia was her doctor. Owen was Dave’s doctor. It was a bit awkward to hear about Dave’s love woes when his own life was so topsy turvy.
He was getting a divorce from Teddy. They tried open marriage. It didn’t work. It showed Teddy that she would always choose Owen. It showed that Owen would always choose whoever was in front of him. He’s never just chosen Teddy.
Their marriage was officially over. Yet they started sleeping together again. They both knew it was no good to reopen the wound and they did it anyways because they’re fundamentally selfish people.
They didn’t care that their coworkers might see them. Or that their kids might surprise them one day. The same kids that were already going through a divorce and would suffer whiplash if they learned that mom and dad aren’t back together. They simply didn’t know how to quit each other. It’s a sickness at this point.
It’s almost as bad as Dave. Dave at least knew what went wrong in his marriage. He said that Heather hated him. She hated him before this and she’ll hate becoming a meme after this.
Casey laughed at his jokes. Now, she was getting raked over the coals for the affair. She was Dave’s immediate boss. She was put on indefinite leave. She’s the one that’s a meme. Dave only has to face an angry wife. It was Casey that had to face a judgmental media. She also had to rush into surgery. There were plenty of surgeries happening.
Bailey had to rush a mother of five into surgery for an inflamed gallbladder. Jo was back at work. She wanted in on that surgery and Bailey sidelined her. Bailey said that she doesn’t need Jo having another cardiac event. Not when the focus should be on the patient. The patient was a romance podcaster.
It allowed her to work from home. It also helped with the bills. She couldn’t afford to miss work or relieving the babysitters. She came into Bailey’s clinic because she had her youngest a few weeks ago. She thought the pain was stemming from something wrong with her c-section.
Bailey understood what it was like to be a busy mother. She also knew that gallbladder was left too long. It already ruptured by time they opened her up. The patient had a bunch of gallstones and infections in her future. They couldn’t get everything from one surgery. Talia was going to be a frequent flier at the hospital.
Which hurt for the young Dr. Spencer. She listened to the podcasts. She was a huge fan. She told Talia before the surgery. She now has to be there when Bailey delivered the bad news.
Lucas wasn’t at the hospital. He was still taking care of Katie. He wasn’t sleeping more than an hour at a time. He was barely hanging on and watching Katie die. Simone tried to stop him. She told him that he was making things better for himself. Not for Katie. She doesn’t know it but they talked while they were alone.
Katie and Lucas finally admitted they had feelings for each other. They wasted years when they could’ve loved each other. It was too late now. Lucas was so focused on lessening Katie’s pain that he left for a few moments and he returned to find out she passed peacefully.
Jules also got back on Toni’s service. The woman that came close to sinking her career was taking a sabbatical in Boston. Jules’s name has been cleared and she was doing good work.
When she wasn’t flirting with Winston that is. Winston doesn’t want to go there with her. He doesn’t want to mix work and romance. He tried that with Maggie. Maggie still left him and he was forced to figure out who he was without her. He didn’t want to do that to Jules. They ignored their feelings for each other or at the most they were going to try to do it.
Dave’s marriage was over. Only he does love Casey. Heather flipped out in the parking lot and she was right to have her feelings because she was treated like she didn’t matter when she did.
Owen sympathized with her. He thought he was trying again with Teddy. He found out the hard way that Teddy was dating other people still.
Lucas blamed Simone for missing Katie’s death and that wasn’t fair.
Winston went back on his promise not to start anything by starting something with Jules.
And Amelia learned to get over herself. She found out Toni has a famous ex-wife. It made her feel insecure and really she should’ve checked her out online like everyone does with people they start hanging out with.
THE END!
