General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some dark days may be ahead for Dante Falconeri (Dominick Zamprogna). As GH viewers know, Dante is back in Port Charles after working very hard to get better so he could embark on a mission there.
That mission is to investigate Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and to find evince that could exonerate Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and set her free, since she was put away for Peter’s crimes.
Of course, Dante doesn’t know that Liesl is behind his mission; all he knows is that Dr. Kirk (Christopher Cousins) is his point of contact and is who he reports to.
But Dr. Kirk seems to be exercising undue control over Dante, using the medication and the clicks of his pen to keep Dante on track and in line. Dante seems to pop pills regularly, at Dr. Kirk’s direction.
Well, it’s been made perfectly clear in recent episodes that Dante is still very much into protecting Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) from harm’s way, and that he still loves Lulu very much.
Unfortunately, the future for Lulu doesn’t look good, as Emme Rylan will be leaving the show. GH buzz is that the character of Lulu could very well be killed off, perhaps in a terrible explosion that will be rocking The Floating Rib in days to come.
We’ll see what ultimately happens to Lulu, but if she does die, then that’s probably going to leave Dante feeling absolutely gutted. Not only will Dante’s true love be gone, but he’ll probably feel immense guilt over not having better protected Lulu and for losing precious time with her while he was away.
And given that Dante’s psychological state perhaps wasn’t the best to begin with, he could really spiral out of control.
Of course, Liesl probably won’t be happy to hear that Dante is suffering and that he’s distracted from his mission. One would expect that Dante won’t really be thinking about his mission once Lulu turns up dead.
Dante will have Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) to think about and he’ll be devastated by his loss.
This may lead Liesl to instruct Dr. Kirk to get Dante back on track in any way possible. Dr. Kirk might make his presence known in Port Charles, and he could even increase Dante’s medication dosage or even use some additional techniques to get Dante back on mission.
That could lead Dante to really worry the people around him – especially if he throws himself into his mission rather than properly grieving Lulu.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Dante when and if Lulu’s gone, but one thing’s for sure – Liesl isn’t going to want her mission into uncovering Peter’s guilt to stall, so chances are she and Dr. Kirk will do something to push things along.
