In tonight’s Tracker episode, a woman disappeared in Kansas City. Her name is Evelyn Martell. She went by Evie. She’s a doctor. It was her sister who reported her missing and, when nothing came of that, she then set up a reward. She said that her sister’s whole life was work. She would never miss a day.

Much less a meeting she had previously scheduled with an attendee. Her sister Janie also mentioned that she’s been drinking more lately. It’s odd because Evie was risking her job with her behavior. She was completely Type A so Janie doesn’t know what’s going on? She told Colter she wasn’t sure if her sister hadn’t hurt herself somewhere.

Colter began looking into it. It wasn’t just Janie that noticed. Evie’s boss noticed as well. He also spotted missing medication from her shifts and he hadn’t reported her.

He thought talking to her about it would make it stop. He knew she was a good doctor. He felt she was running from some demons when she started dabbling in drugs and he wanted her to get help. Not get arrested. Dr. Brett Hooper showed Colter the security cameras from the hospital. It showed Evie leaving in a blonde wing.

Evie naturally has black hair. Why would she leave in a blonde wig? She also avoided the cameras as she was leaving so her behavior was all over the place the night she disappeared. Colter soon learned she went to a bar that night. She came in alone. She started drinking heavily.

She sought out a bar regular and they were drinking together. She was falling all over the place. Josh the regular offered to give her a ride home at last call. The bartender didn’t notice anything suspicious because Evie approached him and so she didn’t say anything when a drunk woman went “home” with a supposed stranger.

Evie never made it home because Josh was that guy. Colter realized as well. He found out Josh’s full name was Josh Greyland. He had Randy give him his address and he found Evie’s wig inside.

There was also blood and a bullet casing. It wasn’t what it looked like. Yes, Josh tried to sexually assault Evie that night only she knew what he was going to do because he’s done it before. The whole thing was a set up. Josh was in a car accident right around the time that Evie began acting erratically. She was his surgeon and she froze when she saw him on the OR table.

Colter called Janie once he realized what Evie did with the drugs she stole from work. She used them on Josh. She wanted a way to overpower him. She did that at his house because he didn’t take her home like he should’ve done and that just confirmed she was right about him.

She was assaulted at a frat party in college by a couple of guys. She never knew their names. She was drunk enough that she didn’t know fully what they looked like. The cops dismissed her case because she was drinking that night. They thought that somehow discredited what happened to her.

It’s unclear if they even tried to find her assailants. Evie tried to move on with her life. She dedicated herself to work until she spotted one her rapists on her operating table and it all came back. Colter put it all together. He knew Evie would take Josh where she felt safe. He found out from Janie that their uncle recently passed away.

He had a cabin they inherited. Colter went there and he found Josh still alive. There was no sign of Evie. Evie tortured him until he confessed to her assault on camera. And then she went after the other guy.

As Randy pointed out, she had a month to plan Josh’s kidnapping. She didn’t plan anything for the other assailant and winging it could be dangerous. Evie at least had a plan to overpower the other guy.

She thought her gun would be enough on Victor. She underestimated him. He has a family now. He was married. They were all home when she broke in and so she tried to be quiet. He took advantage of that. He overpowered her. He got her gun away from her. He dragged her out behind his house where he planned on killing her.

Colter saved her. He shot Victor. He got Evie to the hospital. Reenie cleared things with the cops. Josh also won’t go free because he was wanted for several sexual assaults in the state.

It brought up some bad memories for Reenie. She’s been getting flashbacks from when she was kidnapped. She’s done her best to put it all behind her, but it was still there and she couldn’t party forever trying to forget it.

Reenie also took on Maxine’s case in spite of the dead bodies attached because she wanted a fight.

THE END!
